.... if you did the history of animation you neglected the actual very first cartoon. It was actually Canada who created the cartoon and when i went to Ottawa for my grad trip(grade 8 graduation trip) we went to a museum of all the important canadaians who did something. There i saw the actual first cartoon in its original form it was 30 frames of a chicken walking the frames were like film of a camera and it was all hand drawn i forget the name of the guy but you said america is more important when actually canada invented most of the crap and technology we use today like the phone. So you could have included that since it is the very first cartoon.
